Apple’s iPhone 16 Pro Launch With a New Chipset and Apple Intelligence

The iPhone company has revealed the next Pro phone at the latest event.

The new iPhone has slightly larger screens in both models: Apple iPhone 16 Pro – 6.3 inches and Apple iPhone 16 Pro Max – 6.9 inches. Last year’s iPhone 15 Pro/15 had 6.1 inches and 6.7 inches. The body of the new iPhone is again made of titanium, like the iPhone 15 Pro. It is available in four colors: Space Black, White, Blue Titanium, and Rose Titanium.

The Apple iPhone 16 Pro starts at $999 in the US with 128GB of storage, and the iPhone 16 Pro Max starts at $1,199 with 256GB of storage, which is the same as last year’s iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max.

Camera Improvements

The iPhone 16 Pro has powerful camera features: 48 MP wide, 12 MP periscope telephoto, and 48 MP ultrawide sensors.

Apple claims Camera Control gives you an easy way to quickly access camera tools. The iPhone 16 Pro delivers better photos than last year’s iPhone 15 Pro, with 4K 120 fps Dolby Vision video capture—a resolution and frame rate combo. Featuring a new 48 MP Fusion camera with a second-generation quad-pixel sensor and A18 Pro chip, the iPhone 16 Pro can record 4K 120 fps Dolby Vision in video mode or slow-mo.

Apple says the iPhone 16 Pro has four “studio-quality” speakers and advanced audio hardware, including mics. You can capture spatial audio while recording video. In an update coming to Voice Memo later this year, you’ll have the option to layer a track over a recording, which might be useful if you’re recording a video release for Instagram.

Chipset improvement

Apple’s iPhone 16 Pro features this year’s A18 Pro chip, a new 6-core GPU that boosts graphics performance, and a new 6-core CPU that helps your smartphone perform complex tasks faster with less power.

The iPhone 16 Pro gives you a huge jump in battery life. Working together with the A18 Pro chip, Faster Wireless Charging 6, and up to 25W with a 30W power adapter or higher, you can charge up to 50% in about 30 minutes.

Apple is launching these new phones as it offers AI features along with its Apple Intelligence features, some of which will be in beta later in October. AI is a big focus for Apple this year, and the company has already done several AI showcases. Tools showcased at the recent Worldwide Developers Conference include an upgraded Siri and integration with OpenAI’s ChatGPT.

The big features of the iPhone 15 Pro lineup were the titanium body and action buttons.
