We know that OnePlus has a reputation for being a top gaming Android phone. I played PUBG Mobile on the OnePlus 8 in 2020/2021. It gave me an amazing display and performance that I couldn’t find in any other phone within this budget.

Colors and IP-rating
We already know what the OnePlus 13 will look like. They posted pictures of three main colors:
1. Blue Moment
2. Obsidian Black
3. White Dawn
The main design change seems to be the screen, which should be subtly curved at all four edges, similar to Samsung’s Galaxy S23 Ultra, but still mostly flat rather than fully sloping at the edges like the older OnePlus 12. Like the current flagship, the OnePlus 13 will reportedly have an IP69 rating for water and dust resistance instead of the regular IP68. This means it can not only be completely submerged in water but can also withstand being repeatedly blasted by jets of hot liquid.
Display
The OnePlus is expected to be another 6.8-inch device, making one-handed use great. That OLED screen should be a 2K stunner with a built-in ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. According to OnePlus’s official information before launch, this panel can simultaneously display images at different refresh rates in separate areas.
For example, suppose you’re watching a video at the top of your smartphone screen, which might be running at 30Hz while browsing the web at the bottom, which might be running at 90 or 120Hz. That keeps scrolling smoothly. And fair play to OnePlus if this feature is real because that’s some top-notch smart tech.
Camera
We haven’t seen many leaks about the 13’s optics, but it’s expected to feature a triple 50-megapixel camera system, with all three using a Sony sensor. I’m surprised more manufacturers don’t stick with one specific brand for all camera sensors in their phones, because at least you get consistent tones when zooming in and out—no sudden changes in color brightness or contrast.
And the cool AG branding on the phone’s back means, yes, Hasselblad will be fine-tuning those images again and offering custom filters.
As usual, AI processing will enhance your photos, allowing for adjustments after they’re taken. And there, in a nutshell, is what we think we know about the OnePlus 13. So, as you can see, there probably aren’t too many surprises left for next week’s launch—unless all these leaks turn out to be completely off the mark.
Performance

The OnePlus 13 will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, recently unveiled at their glamorous Hawaiian summit. Details are still a bit blurry, but thanks to its beefy new Orion CPU, the Snapdragon 8 Elite ditches the efficiency cores and instead goes all-in with 64-bit prime and performance cores.
This makes it incredibly powerful; hopefully, every phone equipped with it doesn’t overheat. Naturally, the Snapdragon 8 Elite is expected to be significantly more power-efficient than previous Snapdragon generations, so hopefully, it won’t suck those batteries dry either.
OxygenOS
We’ve got OxygenOS 15, which is expected to ship with the OnePlus 13. OxygenOS 15 is impressively smooth, lighter than previous versions of the launcher, and packed with some exciting new customization features. However, one major new feature exclusive to the OnePlus 13 is the Intelligent Search function, which won’t be rolled out to previous OnePlus smartphones.
This feature can scan through all the documents stored on your phone for information. For example, if you have a concert ticket stored, Intelligent Search can remind you when the Chumbawamba concert starts, ensuring you don’t miss a minute of the action.
Battery
The OnePlus 13 will sport a mighty 6,000mAh capacity battery, one of the biggest found in any blower so far. It’ll offer 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. So yeah, consider that half-mast action properly upgraded to full-mast.
