Nothing Phone 3 Full Specs & Released Date details
has been revealed that Nothing is working on a trio of new smartphones for launch in the first half of 2025, one of which is almost certainly the fresh new Nothing Phone 3 flagship.
Nothing skipped its flagship offerings this year, concentrating instead on more wallet-friendly options including the Nothing Phone 2A and 2A+, as well as the super-budget CMF phone, so-called because it’s one cheap
But yeah, Nothing head honcho Carl Pei already confirmed earlier this year that next year Nothing would be launching a fresh new flagship phone, so you don’t exactly have to buff your crystal ball too hard to see that one.

Nothing Phone 3: Processor Speculations Unveiled
Previous leaks have pointed to a pair of new handsets, which could well be the Nothing Phone 3 and also a more affordable Nothing Phone 3A. The first is expected to be powered by MediaTek’s fresh Dimensity 9400, a more affordable to Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite. And of course, that Dimensity 9400 recently powered Oppo’s Findx 8 flagship smartphones.
And certainly, that 9400 seems to be a good fit. Wouldn’t be surprised to see it stuffed inside the Nothing Phone 3 because Nothing has used MediaTek chipsets in previous handsets and also does tend to stay clear of the top-end Snapdragons for its flagships, just to help bring down the cost a bit and make those flagships more competitive—certainly as far as emptying your wallet is concerned.
And I’d absolutely be happier than Jacob Rees-Mogg at a shoot-all-of-poor-people party with the Dimensity 9400 running the show, as it’s a proper bit of alright. Even bat-shit mental randomness like weather and waves played rather nicely on the Oppo Phynex 8 Pro, boasting a frame rate even smoother than my scalp when those graphics were maxed out.
Nothing Phone 3A: The Affordable Contender
Meanwhile, the second handset that Nothing will supposedly be launching alongside the Nothing Phone 3, which will probably end up being the Nothing Phone 3A, should be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7S Gen 3, a mid-range chipset not quite as capable.
This was all laid bare by recent leaked benchmarks, which may well turn out to be a shovel full of bovine arse evacuations, but hopefully not. The Snapdragon 7S Gen 3 is a fresh upgraded version of the 7 Plus Gen 3, which was the brains of the OnePlus Note 4, and that certainly already proved good enough to cope with some Genshin Impact action. So, the Nothing Phone 3A should be just as capable for bashing wee angsty furry gits right in their mug.
AI, Software, and All That Jazz
Both the Dimensity and the Snapdragon chipsets can handle their AI smart nursery, so you can expect Nothing to come extra hard with all that AI shenanigans. The rest of the software won’t be much of a shock—just the latest Nothing OS 3 slathered on top of Android 15.
I’ve already had propaganda at all in another Charm and Wee video, which I’ll inevitably fail to link to right here as I still don’t understand how YouTube works. But if you can’t be arsed with yet more of me banging on about shiny stuff, well, Nothing OS 3 is a bit like Nick Cage in its beta form, with some proper good stuff mixed in with some utter clagnuts.
The Third Phone: CMF or Pro?
It’s also worth pointing out that some online gossip merchants reckon that the two new phones won’t be the Nothing Phone 3 and the Nothing Phone 3A. What they’ll actually be is the Nothing Phone 3 and the Nothing Phone 3 Pro, with the Pro model getting that Dimensity 9400 and the regular Nothing Phone 3 getting the Snapdragon 7S Gen 3.
But I’m gonna stake my bollocks to the wall and say that there won’t be a Nothing Phone 3 Pro. It’ll just be the 3 and the 3A, and that third phone will be a CMF Phone 2, launched later in the year.
The Nothing Phone 3 series will likely feature:
Now other Nothing Phone 3 leaks are pretty sparse right now, but you can expect:
- A 6.7-inch OLED screen
- Stereo speakers
- Dual camera setup
The usual flashy glyph lighting shenanigans to turn any moment into a disco party And I reckon that glyph lighting will be upgraded in at least one or two ways, possibly with a nice bit of RGB shenanigans now rather than just having lights all the same colour. It’ll be that and the improved performance on the AI shenanigans that’ll help to set the Nothing Phone 3 apart from previous flagships.
Final Thoughts
The Nothing Phone 3 promises to bring exciting upgrades in performance, design, and features, marking Nothing’s return to the flagship segment. Whether it’s the powerful Dimensity 9400 or the enhanced glyph lighting, this series is shaping up to be a compelling option for tech enthusiasts. Whether you’re interested in cutting-edge performance or a more budget-friendly option, Nothing seems poised to cater to a wide range of users.
